Trip to Nebraska

I took the kids to Nebraska the first week of August. The first night we went down to the lake and Grace caught her first fish. She was SO happy, just look at the smile on her face.

We rode the mini bike a lot. Grace didn't want to get off and kept telling us to go faster. GREEEAAAT.

My Dad built a slip'n'slide off the deck of the house into a pool. The kids spent hours on it.

Harper and Rowan came down to play. Rowan and Grace, future husband and wife.

Mickey and I went out on the town one night!

This was a few days into the trip and Grace caught a bigger fish.

On the last day Caiden caught a real big fish!

Caiden weighed 43 lbs. (37th percentile) and 44 inches tall (28th percentile). He passed his hearing, eye and blood pressure tests. He also got two booster shots that he needed before starting Kindergarten.
Grace weighed 33 lbs. (38th percentile) and 38 inches long (22nd percentile). She also passed her hearing, eye and blood pressure tests.  Unfortunately I took no pictures during the appointment.

Birthday Party

We did another joint birthday party at the park for the kids this year. It was a home run! We had cotton candy, an obstacle course and of course...Chipotle! Thanks to everyone who made it a big hit!

2018 San Diego Fair

The kids had a blast at our fair day this year. I look forward to this day all year. The kids are just at that perfect age and their eyes light up when they get to ride a ride or eat food they rarely get to eat (cotton candy, snow cones). We spent about six hours this year and it still wasn't long enough. The fair is set up for about five weeks and we drive by it almost every day and we talk about how fun our adventures are at the fair. Can't wait until next year ;)

Caiden got on stage in front of the audience and did a magic trick!

Mamma went on vacation!

I had one of the most relaxing weekends of my adult life at the Double T River Ranch in Clyde Park, Montana a few weeks ago. Mickey and I went on a Big Sky Yoga Retreat! It was a women's only retreat where we ate, did yoga, rode horses, drank wine and relaxed all weekend long. We were both a bit nervous on how much yoga and women bonding would take place but it was the perfect amount. As I look back on the weekend I realize that life is way too short not to do trips like this more often. And now I want to ride horses and go to Montana again!

We did our daily yoga sessions in this restored barn. The most beautiful ceiling to look at while doing yoga.

We stayed in this cabin on the Shields River. We woke up to deer walking across the stream and moose tracks right outside our door.
